Our Story

Our Story

Nature's Nook Art grew out of a simple idea: people need places to create, connect, laugh, and try something new.

For many years, Nature's Nook was known in Minot as a locally owned specialty toy store. But tucked among the toys, something else was growing. We began hosting birthday parties, art activities, paint events, camps, and creative experiences for children and adults. What started as one part of Nature's Nook gradually became something all its own.

Today, Nature's Nook Art is a mobile art and creative events business serving Minot and the surrounding communities.

You'll find us hosting public paint nights at local restaurants, breweries, museums, and community spaces. We bring art parties to birthdays, churches, businesses, organizations, family gatherings, and private events. We offer children's art experiences, camps, messy play, and plenty of opportunities to make something without worrying whether you're "an artist."

Because we don't think art needs to be intimidating.

You don't need experience. You don't need to know how to draw. You certainly don't need to make yours look exactly like ours. Come as you are, pick up a brush, and see what happens.

For us, the finished painting has never been the whole point.

It's the conversation across the table. It's the child who proudly announces, "I made this!" It's friends laughing over paintings that somehow started with the same instructions and ended up completely different. It's trying something new at 8, 38, or 78 years old.

That is what Nature's Nook Art has always been about: creativity, joy, and connection.

The toy store chapter may have ended, but the creative part of Nature's Nook didn't disappear.

It simply needed more room to become its own story.

Come create with us.
